Visible Body app featured in Apple's Best of 2017

December 7, 2017 — Visible Body's flagship iPhone and iPad compatible Human Anatomy Atlas app was selected as one of Apple's Best of 2017.

The Visible Body team received a congratulatory email from Apple with the annoucement that the Best of 2017 showcase "celebrates our favorite games and apps on the App Store." Earlier this year, the Visible Body team released an update that included support for Apple's ARKit.

"We've heard from so many instructors that the augmented reality features we added to Human Anatomy Atlas create an affordable and easily accessible tool for virtual anatomy dissections," noted Visible Body CEO Andrew Bowditch. "The team did an exceptional job working with customers to create an augmented reality experience that enabled students to place our virtual cadaver or virtual prosections on a surface in a room, and proceed through a dissection."

Human Anatomy Atlas is used by healthcare professionals, students, and instructors around the world. It is the best-selling human anatomy atlas that includes male and female gross anatomy, plus select microanatomy, diagnostic imaging, and optional pathology content. App Store customer reviews highlight the large volume of visual content, the ease of use, and affordability for medical and nursing students on a tight budget. The iPhone/iPad app is available in seven languages.

With more than two million apps available for iOS devices, the team responsible for creating Human Anatomy Atlas was thrilled that Apple considered their work among the year's best.
