Visible Body Receives Gold at 2020 Digital Health Awards
Newton, MA — June 16, 2020 — Visible Body announced today that their Physiology & Pathology app has won Gold in the Mobile category of the Spring 2020 Digital Health Awards.
Physiology & Pathology is Visible Body’s interactive guide to the core physiological processes and common diseases of the human body. It contains interactive 3D models of both healthy and disease states, as well as explanatory text, illustrations, and engaging 3D animations detailing cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, and musculoskeletal functions and pathologies.

The app also features an interactive beating heart model that allows users to change the heart rate, follow along with an EKG, and view blood flow and electrical activity.

Organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields, the Digital Health Awards are held each spring and fall. Hundreds of health-related organizations at local, state, and national scales enter this competition. Other winners in the Mobile category for Spring 2020 included Web MD’s Wellness at Your Side app, the website for UT Austin’s Health Communication Center, and Vendi’s website for the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
