Visible Body’s Human Anatomy Atlas Receives a Gold Award in the 2018 W3 Awards

Newton, Massachusetts October 15, 2018 Visible Body announced today that their Human Anatomy Atlas app has been awarded a Gold Award in the 2018 W3 Awards.

The W3 Awards celebrate digital excellence by honoring outstanding content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. The competition is judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts that includes executives from AvatarLabs, Disney, Microsoft, MTV Networks, Wired, Yahoo! and many others. This year, the W3 received over 5000 entries from around the world.

Human Anatomy Atlas won Gold in the Mobile Education category, which celebrates “Mobile Apps developed specifically for the act or process of acquiring knowledge or the distribution of educational content.” Andrew Bowditch, Visible Body's CEO, noted that the team was so excited about this award. "Our mission here every day is to leverage popular technology and interactive visuals to make it easier to teach and learn about the human body."

Human Anatomy Atlas includes 3D models of a male and female human body. With the tap of a finger or the click of a mouse, you can access definitions and pronunciations, rotate around the models, zoom in, or dissect.
