Explore Grant’s Atlas of Anatomy with Visible Body’s Immersive Course
The human body is in 3D, so we think anatomy education should be, too. That’s why Visible Body has created an immersive, 3D course that correlates with the popular A&P textbook Grant’s Atlas of Anatomy.
Released in spring 2025, Visible Body’s Grant’s Atlas of Anatomy immersive course is just one of its many course correlations. Accessed through Visible Body Courseware, this premade course mirrors the content students will find in Grant’s, giving them the opportunity to explore their textbook’s 2D content in 3D.

Assignments in 3D
Grant's and the correlated course move from region to region to look at different systems, structures, and major organs. The course’s immersive assignments take students through 3D anatomical views that reflect the content in Grant’s Atlas of Anatomy.
Assignments in Courseware create an “on the rails” experience that keeps students focused on the content. On the left side of their screen, students will find instructions on how to interact with the models to get the most out of their experience.

Through Courseware assignments, students can interact with anatomical structures like never before. Click on a structure to select it, and an info box will appear. Here, you can read a textbook-level definition (or click the Listen button to have it read to you), learn about related pathologies, and add a tag. Depending on the type of structure, you can view bony landmarks, muscle attachments, blood supply, and innervation information.
Clicking the Hide button will dissect away the structure, allowing students to simulate a dissection at any time.
Dissection Quizzes
In the Grant’s immersive course, you’ll also find premade dissection quizzes, which break learning into bite-sized units and let students and instructors track progress along the way. Dissection quizzes challenge students to navigate 3D models to find and select the desired structures.

The team at Visible Body has designed these materials to get students to use visuospatial skills to think critically about the body. These assignments and quizzes ask students to do more than just rely on rote memorization to click through a multiple choice quiz—instead, students explore to find the knowledge they need.
Make It Your Own
You can use this course right out of the box, or you can use it as a foundation for your own customized course experience. Like all of Courseware’s premade courses, everything you see in the Grant’s correlated course can be customized. You can add your own quizzes or assignments, or edit assignments to add your own views or instructions.
